The following are Drake Wong’s photographs from a Juneteenth protest in downtown Toronto last Friday. Commemorating a day that marks a milestone in the eradication of slavery in the United States, people took to the streets to protest racism and police brutality here in Canada.
The photographer was careful not to capture identifying images of protestors, including uncovered faces or tattoos. If you would like one of these images to be removed from the article please email [email protected].
