Last chance to take advantage of the adjusted S/U policy

S/U stands for Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory, and refers to courses graded under the S/U option that are excluded from both your Term and Cumulative GPA, however will continue to show up on your transcript.

The S/U grading option requirements have been altered for FALL 2020 and WINTER 2021. A maximum of 6 credits (2 courses) total for Fall 2020 / Winter 2021 courses are eligible for the S/U option that will not be counted in the general regulations.

Credits can be associated with your major, minor, complementary and required courses. Important to note that “in order to be considered for undergraduate scholarship renewals, students must complete at least 24 graded credits in the regular academic session, as opposed to the usual 27, not including courses completed under the S/U option” (McGill, Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Option).

Grading is as follows;

UNDERGRADUATE
S → Final grades A through C
U → Final grades D, E and F

GRADUATE
S → Final grades A through B-
U → Final grades D, F and J

The deadline for FALL 2020 is January 18, 2020 5pm EDT. Log on with your McGill email to access the form at here.
